Heide Schönfeld

For a natural participation in cultural education, that's what I advocate - both in concept work and in project management.

Heide Schönfeld works as a project coordinator for cultural education at Wider Sense TraFo. Keeping an eye on the big picture as well as the details, she moderates, advises and coordinates the Kulturstiftung des Bundes, the Kulturstiftung der Länder and the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung in the redesign of a joint nationwide congress on cultural education.

Thanks to her many years of experience as a project coordinator and manager in various projects such as „Kulturagenten für kreative Schulen“ and „Kunstlabore„, which were funded by the Stiftung Mercator and the Kulturstiftung des Bundes, she has in-depth knowledge of artistic processes and their mediation. With her expertise in process-oriented networking, project and event management and her knowledge of funding structures and actors, Heide Schönfeld drives projects forward and creates new spaces for creative ideas.

Following her artistic interest and the tangible world of numbers, Heide Schönfeld studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice at the University of Hildesheim with a focus on music, literature, cultural management and business administration. As a co-author, she published the book “ Kunstlabore: Für mehr Kunst in Schulen!”, which shows in depth and in a practical manner quality criteria and potentials of artistic work in schools.

Why did you choose working for Wider Sense?

I want to enable as many people as possible to experience arts and culture and thus contribute to the development of courageous, self-determined and committed personalities who value and actively shape our diverse society.

What is a random fact about you?

In my first professional life I was a goldsmith and I still love handicrafts and renovations. At some point of time I would like to live with my family in a house with a workshop and a view onto the Baltic Sea.
