Elisabeth Roos

I support networks of foundations in breaking new ground and initiating transformations in our society.

Elisabeth Roos ist Projektmanagerin der Stiftungen bei der Wider Sense Trafo

As a project manager at Wider Sense TraFo, Elisabeth Roos is responsible for three projects since February 2024: the initiative #TrustCreatesImpact, Giving Circle and the initiative BildungsgeRECHTigkeit (educational justice). Her tasks include network support and coordination, conceptualizing and implementing events, as well as public relations and research. She supports the project leaders in the strategic and operational planning of the network activities.

In recent years, Elisabeth Roos has worked in various positions in the cultural and creative sector. As part of these activities, she was involved in the development and implementation of funding programs, the implementation of a qualification program for artists and a research project on the social security situation of professionals in the performing arts. She has also gained experience in the German philanthropy sector.

Elisabeth Roos studied Cultural Sciences at Maastricht University (B. A.) in the Netherlands and at Leuphana University Lüneburg (M. A.). During her interdisciplinary studies, she dealt with various aspects within the cultural sciences such as art and media studies, cultural management and political culture. One focus of her research was cultural urban development, which she examined from an empirical perspective in her Bachelor’s thesis and from a theoretical point in her Master’s thesis (“Envisioning Urban Life”).

Why did you choose working for Wider Sense?

I would like to contribute to transformation processes for a strong and future-oriented civil society and educational justice. I can do this in my work at Wider Sense Trafo.

What is a random fact about you?

Cooking, baking, reading a good book and trying out new things – this is how I like to spend my time.
