National Forum on Education

Every year in autumn, around 60 experts* from science and practice, administration and politics, foundations and society meet to talk, learn and network for 24 hours about a current educational topic.

In discussions and debates, different positions and perspectives combine to create new impulses and common ideas for the German education system.

The National Education Forum takes place annually in Wittenberg. As the birthplace of the Reformation, the city is a highly symbolic starting point for new and sustainable developments, which do not always go without detours.

Stephan Dorgerloh founded the National Education Forum in 2018 and since then he and an interdisciplinary team have been responsible for the concepts.

The theme of this year’s Education Forum: 21st Century Skills: A new guideline idea for (German) schools!?
